About
I’m Candice Black, a visual artist & writer from South Wales, UK. As a mixed-race, disabled, Welsh, female: my creative work has been a lifeline through challenging experiences.
I work in a range of media including painting, photography, textiles, print, collage, performance, video, poetry, and prose.
I explore trauma and somatic themes in my artwork, drawing on my own experiences and taking influence from others.
